The Portland Trail Blazers have started off the 2018-19 NBA season on the right foot. What can we take away from their first 10 games?

The Portland Trail Blazers have kicked off the 2018-19 NBA season in solid fashion. They are currently 7-3, which is the franchise’s best 10-game start since 2014-15. It is also the fifth-best record in the NBA and third-best in the Western Conference. Since the Blazers finished third in the West last year, they’ve basically picked up where they left off.

Damian Lillard continues to be Portland’s dynamic leader. He currently averages 28.1 points and 5.7 assists per game, both team-highs. He is also grabbing 5.0 rebounds per game, which is currently his career-high. Meanwhile, Jusuf Nurkic has been team’s leader on the boards, averaging 10.1 per game. That average is also the 16th-highest in the league.

Though the season is still young, it doesn’t hurt to take a step back and observe what has transpired so far. There are several trends that have showed up the Blazers’ play, and it will be interesting to see how they play out over the rest of the season. Here are three things that we could take away from the first 10 games of the Portland Trail Blazers’ 2018-19 season.
