Jeff Teague

7 GP, 30.3 MPG, 12.7 PPG, 6.9 APG, 2.4 RPG

Jeff Teague started the season off with a tremendous performance against the San Antonio Spurs, but has fallen into the background since then.

Teague has played about the same number of minutes per game as Derrick Rose, and he’s suffered from Tom Thibodeau’s curious use of point guards this season. There are usually two point guards on the floor for the Wolves, which leaves them undersized and poorly organized on offense.

Minnesota was counting on Teague, who shot 36.8 percent from 3 last year, to act a spacer in their two-point guard lineups, but Teague has shot terribly to start the year converting only 31.8 percent of his looks from 3 and 35.9 percent of his shots overall.

His -9.0 net rating is the worst on the team despite taking care of the ball and putting up an assist percentage in line with last season. His defense remains better in theory than in practice. He may deserve lower than a C, but I expect him to turn things around soon so I’m bumping up his grade.
