Cleveland Cavaliers: 5 trade proposals for J.R. Smith

2. Philadelphia 76ers
Keeping up with the theme of teams that are a few pieces away from being championship contenders, the Philadelphia 76ers are desperately seeking to add more 3-point shooters. The 76ers are shooting a poor 34.9 percent from beyond the arc as a team.
J.R. Smith would be able to join the team and add even more firepower to their bench. As of now, the Sixers’ bench has hit a league-leading 54 3-pointers this season (mostly thanks to J.J. Redick). Smith is capable of boosting that number if given the opportunity to shoot enough.
Throw in the addition of Kyle Korver and the 76ers could turn their bench into an elite shooting squad. The Sixers would greatly improve their shooting and become real contenders to win an NBA championship with this trade.
The Cleveland Cavaliers would gain both Wilson Chandler and Mike Muscala in this trade. Chandler is a guy who can buff out the Cavs’ defense. Meanwhile, Muscala is averaging 7.5 points per game in just 18.5 minutes of playing time and could prove to be valuable to the Cavs’ bench.
