Kyle Lowry

Stats: 18.5 PPG, 11.1 APG, 3.9 RPG in 34.9 MPG, 51.5 FG%, 42.3 3P%

The play of Lowry has been nothing short of brilliant so far, and he’s quickly emerged as the main playmaker in this offense, averaging an astounding 11.1 assists per game. In games, Lowry has demonstrated excellent decision-making when distributing the ball around, something he has done for his whole career. It helps to have Danny Green to kick the ball out to for a surefire 3-point make.

Lowry’s streak of double-doubles has now extended to six games, including five games with 12 assists or more. This is very impressive considering the fact that he had four such games all last season, and his emergence as a true floor general is surprising knowing that he’s not averaged more than 7.4 assists per game in a season before.

Furthermore, he’s posting career-highs in shooting efficiency, converting 51.5 percent of his looks from the field and 42.3 percent from downtown, with an effective field goal percentage of 62.4 percent. It’s great to see him make these strides, as he’s never been able to last a whole season making half of his shots.

Overall, this has been a very promising start for the 12-year veteran. He’s been contending for the Eastern Conference Player of the Week Award for the past two weeks, which is a nice tidbit as well. Going forward, it’ll be interesting to see if he can keep up this level of production.
