The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 4-3 on the young 2018-19 season. While they’ve won four games, all of them have come at home. On the road, they’re winless.

It’s been an interesting year for the Philadelphia 76ers and it hasn’t even been 10 games. So far, they’ve managed to stay above the .500 mark, but they need to drastically improve a few things to get their first road win on the season. They won convincingly at home over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, 113-92, but on the road, it’s been a different story.

Philadelphia is 0-3 away from home this year, with losses to the Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks. Things won’t get any easier on the road either, as their next opponent is the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors haven’t missed a beat since acquiring Kawhi Leonard in the offseason. At 6-1, they’ve shown in the early going they could be a contender for the title in the East.

On the other hand, the Sixers have struggled on the road this season. They’ve put up just 109.0 points per game as a team, compared to 115.3 per contest at home. They’re shooting 29.1 percent from 3-point range and 67.9 percent from the free throw line on the road, compared to 36.8 percent from behind the arc and 88.6 percent from the free throw line at Wells Fargo Center.

If Philadelphia hopes for things to improve, it needs to make a big step against Toronto. It won’t be easy, but improving on a few things should help improve the outcome. Here’s a look at three keys to getting their first road win of the season.
