As the opening week of the 2018-19 season has come to an end, we take a look at some noteworthy New York Knicks pointers.

The New York Knicks have started the 2018-19 season with a record of 1-3, but even while they’re losing, bright spots have been surprisingly easy to find, with Kevin Knox being one of them. Unfortunately, he only played in the first two games of the season before picking up an injury minutes after stepping on the court for game 3.

To make matters even worse, on Saturday’s game against the Boston Celtics, the Knicks received some disappointing news as their rookie would be sidelined for 2-4 weeks with a sprained ankle injury.

Even though this is not a serious injury and should not keep Knox away from the court for too long, his spot on the team should be filled immediately.

The squad started off the season with a big win against the Atlanta Hawks, only to be followed by some close losses to the Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

Even though the team seems to be headed in the right direction, head coach David Fizdale still has some work to do. Here are three takeaways from the opening week for the New York Knicks.
