Three games into the 2018-19 regular season, the Cleveland Cavaliers are still without a win. What can we take away from a disappointing start?

It’s been an underwhelming start to the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ 2018-19 season. The squad is off to a disappointing, but not entirely unpredictable 0-3 start. Maybe more concerning, they’ve lost two of three games by double figures.

The Cavs are trying to find their way. At times Cleveland appears aggressive, applying defensive pressure and pushing the tempo in transition.

Other times, players lacks communication, biffing plays while stumbling over themselves on defensive rotations.

The franchise has fittingly adopted a #bethefight mantra on social media. Kevin Love embraced it following a recent practice, noting both bright and bleak spots over three games.

Speaking of Love, he’s averaging 20.7 points, 14.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists a game. Those stat-stuffing numbers come at a cost; his efficient field goal percentage is 34.8 percent and he is shooting 30.4 percent from the field. If Love boosts that figure up near his career average, he could be in for a big year.

In any case, while Love is trying to play up to par, here are couple other takeaways from the Cavs’ first three games.
