Most fans anticipated a strong season for Jokic, but joining an exclusive list with only Wilt Chamberlain‘s name on it by game two? Jokic is tearing up opponents left and right. The best part is he’s doing it with the ease of a seasoned superstar.
There is much excitement surrounding Jokic as 2018-19 shifts into gear. During his first three games, Jokic notched an impressive 26.3 points per game. He’s averaged 7.3 assists, placing him first among all centers thus far. He’s also nabbed a healthy 31 boards, averaging 10.3 per game.
The early surprise? Even Jokic’s defense has looked solid in these first three games. His defensive stats checked in at 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. He doesn’t exactly resemble Anthony Davis, but this improvement is a welcomed sight.
