If the Washington Wizards want to avoid an early-season slump, here are three goals for them to complete on their first five-game road trip in 2018-19.
The Washington Wizards won’t play in D.C. again until November as they embark on their first road trip of the year. After dropping their first two games against the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors, the Wiz-kids will head West for the next five games, and will hope to return to Capital One Arena with a winning record.
The Wizards, like many other teams around the league, are still figuring it out with their new-look roster and play style. Head coach Scott Brooks has finally fully embraced the 3-point era of the NBA, and looks to push tempo and ramp up the defensive intensity. This early road trip will be a great opportunity for the team to bond and test themselves against tough Western Conference teams on the road.
With all this in mind, here are three goals for the upcoming Wizards’ road trip against the Portland Trail Blazers, Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies.
