Positives

Luckily, it seems that Young Bull has already been making adjustments.

His second NBA appearance was much better than the first. Sexton put up 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting. He showed off a few different offensive moves. His ability to squeeze into the mid-range and hit the pull-up jumper was impressive. Furthermore, his speed in transition helped him earn a few buckets.

In the fourth quarter, Collin scored six straight points as he led the charge to a Cavaliers comeback. This stretch included a play in which Sexton took the ball the full length of the court for a nifty scoop layup over two defenders. Unfortunately, his team fell short in the end.

Perhaps the best thing about Sexton has been his demeanor on the court. He appears confident in every shot he takes and shows no fear in driving to the rim. While he has had his shot rejected multiple times, Sexton is not afraid to go right back into the paint for more. This will eventually pay off as he forces the referees to make foul calls.

Of course, his defense has completely lived up to the hype. Sexton does not hesitate to pick up an opponent at half court and stick on him until the play is over. It’s actually funny to watch as opposing point guards frequently call for a screen or pass the ball immediately just to get Sexton away from them.
