2. Promising debut for Donte DiVincenzo

Bucks general manager Jon Horst was already privy to the fact that his organization drafted a winner this summer in No. 17 overall pick Donte DiVincenzo, but he probably didn’t expect him to be providing such a spark this early on.

DiVincenzo looked more like a five-year vet instead of a rookie as soon as he checked into the game. He came off the bench in what appeared to be a sixth or seventh man role, and he didn’t disappoint in his NBA debut.

The Villanova product pieced together eight points and hit two big shots from beyond the arc in 22 minutes of action. He also provided a lift defensively, guarding a few of the Hornets’ quicker players like Malik Monk, Jeremy Lamb and Tony Parker.

It seems Milwaukee is comfortable having him play in such an impactful role for at least 20 minutes a night, and it doesn’t appear to be bothering him much either at the moment.
