3. Increase 3-point shooting percentage

Ingram hasn’t been shy when it comes to launching it from deep. In his rookie season, he attempted 187 3-pointers and connected on 55 of them, resulting in a 29.4 percent conversion rate.

He upped his 3-point percentage last season, shooting 39 percent but attempted only 105 3-pointers, as he missed 23 games due to injury.

The 21-year-old shot poorly from 3 in the preseason at 1-for-7 (14.3 percent), making it the one area he underperformed in. Those small sample size numbers are sure to go up once the regular season rolls around, however.

If Ingram wants to take the next step to All-Star status, he is going to have to shoot better than 40 percent from beyond the arc this season. Playing alongside James, he should get more open shots than he’s ever seen before in his career. Now all he has to do is make them.
