2. Fast-paced gameplay

One thing that is certain about the Cleveland Cavaliers this season is that they want to play fast. Tyronn Lue has been stressing pace ever since becoming head coach and it seems as if he has finally implemented his ideal system.

The Cavaliers made it a clear point to push the tempo and get the ball up the floor. Lue encouraged this style of play by creating lineups filled with playmakers. Cedi Osman — who finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals — made a few spectacular plays in transition for his team.

Other players such as Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson and George Hill made an effort to initiate the offense as quickly as possible. Many shots came early in the shot clock as Cleveland attempted to catch Toronto off guard.

This proved to be beneficial as it lessened the defensive impact of Kawhi Leonard, stripping him of his ability to get back and set up shop. Not allowing the opponent to set its half-court defense will be a goal for the Cavaliers this year.
