1. Kemba will give his all

There’s no denying that Kemba Walker has always given it his best every single time he puts on a Hornets uniform, but this year’s opening night was just a special game for him. It was only fitting that on the night the organization kicked off the celebration its 30th year, Walker posted the most points for the Hornets in a season opener.

Despite just five points in the first quarter, Walker finished with 41 points, four assists, two steals and two rebounds. He hit 51.7 percent of his shots, including 7-of-13 from beyond the arc and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe.

Kemba’s 41 points didn’t just set one franchise record, but it tied another as well. This was his 10th game with 40 or more points, tying Glen Rice for the most 40-point games in franchise history.

Walker continued to play hard all game and the rest of the team followed him until the clock hit double-zeroes. While it may have not gone his way at the end of the game, Walker showed he’s already in midseason form and ready to take the next leap in his career.
