3. Warriors still have a turnover problem

Despite the win, a persistent problem reared its ugly head for the Dubs: Turnovers, of which they produced 20, ranging from sloppy passes to failed execution.

In fairness, these turnovers come from a good place. Golden State has a system in place predicated on ball and player movement, always looking to find a better shot. Such a style produces breathtaking plays, but it can also lead to wasted possessions.

The Warriors may not seem to struggle in spite of this flaw, but it’s still one they should look to kick nonetheless. No team, no matter how historically great their offense may be, should be content with spoon-feeding more possessions to its opponent. A shot should come every time down the court in order to maximize offensive opportunities.

The regular season is about building habits for the playoffs, where every possession is extremely valuable. This team is great, but still shouldn’t leave anything to chance. Instead, the Dubs should tighten things up now before they come back to haunt them when it really matters.
