3. Put up over 60 double-doubles

Dwight Howard will go down as one of the best big men in the NBA. He has underachieved in some aspects, but he’s also overachieved as well. His first goal is something he hasn’t achieved since the 2010-11 season as a member of the Magic.

To make Washington a dangerous team, Howard will need to produce 60 double-doubles or more during the 2018-19 campaign. Thus far, Howard has yet to play in a Wizards uniform as he suffered a setback in his rehab back on Oct. 6. He’s off to a rough start to this season after missing a combined 12 games across the last three seasons.

With so many shooters on the floor, the rebounds will certainly be there for Howard to prosper. He’ll just need to embrace the role and remain healthy all season long as well. He won’t be rushed back into the rotation this season, but a slow start could raise doubts in his potential future. Howard averaged 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game with Charlotte last season, so the production is certainly there.

A productive year with the Washington Wizards could go along way in rejuvenating Howard’s career as a future Hall-of-Famer. He’s taken on his fair share of criticism and this an opportunity to silence the doubters. The easiest way to start is by racking up the double-doubles.
