Players like Marvin Bagley III, Ben McLemore III, Willie Cauley-Stein and Nemanja Bjelica didn’t do enough to affect their stock in any way during the preseason.

Bagley showed rookie struggles as expected, but also proved himself in other ways. While his offensive game isn’t yet polished, Bagley’s best asset so far has been his ability to rack up second-chance points. The Kings’ plan is probably to slowly work him into the rotation.

McLemore is as he has always been. He seems to be a solid NBA player at times, but then makes puzzling decisions.

Willie Cauley-Stein stuffed the stat sheet in the last couple of weeks, but also proved his tendency to check out on defense. He was especially exposed against the Jazz when Rudy Gobert did whatever he wanted.

Bjelica didn’t see much action in the preseason, but the Kings are likely to make him a big part of their game plan after signing him in the offseason. Iman Shumpert also saw limited action and it remains unclear how much he will be used.
