Many Sacramento Kings players disappointed in the preseason, but some made a case for a bigger role going into the new year.

Although the NBA preseason doesn’t tell us everything we need to know about the upcoming regular season, it can at least give us an indication of which players will have significant roles and which ones will see fewer minutes.

For the Sacramento Kings, many players didn’t live up to expectations in the preseason. A few other players, however, have pleased the fanbase and possibly the coaching staff. At the same time, there are players who didn’t show enough to hurt or help their stock.

Of course, the NBA season is a marathon as they say, and many things could change in the next few months. Some players who were disappointing in the preseason will improve as time goes on, while others may decline. Injuries will also take place and circumstances could change.

Although the following list doesn’t tell us for sure how the season will play out, it serves as a prediction of how the team will be shaped in the first few weeks.
