2. Bogdan Bogdanovic becomes first King to win Most Improved Player Award

Bogdan Bogdanovic began his rookie year at the age of 25 years old after playing five years in the EuroLeague. His first season was a relative success as he averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 triples per game while shooting 44.6 percent from the field — not bad numbers at all from the wing position.

Of the last four Most Improved Player award winners, all were wings and were around 24 years old. There may be pushback for this pick because most players are supposed to improve from their first to second seasons, but because of Bogdanovic’s age, he will likely be in the running.

Due to the fact that he is starting with Justin Jackson, rather than sharing the court with Buddy Hield, his shots from the wing should increase. With De’Aaron Fox improving his court vision and Marvin Bagley III sucking in defenses in the post, Bogdanovic’s numbers and percentages should increase.
