Since coming over via free agency last summer, P.J. Tucker has quickly emerged as one of the most vital difference-makers with the Houston Rockets. Here are the three goals for the veteran forward in 2018-19.

Despite not being the flashiest offseason acquisition a year ago, Houston Rockets forward P.J. Tucker proved to be arguably one of the most important components of the team’s success in 2017-19.

The 33-year-old  — who signed a four-year, $32 million deal to join the Rockets last summer — only averaged 6.1 points per game and shot 39 percent from the field in his first season with Clutch City, but was still instrumental in helping Houston finish among the top 10 in defensive rating for the first time since 2014-15.

Now, the eight-year veteran braces himself for yet another season of doing the dirty work, as the Rockets strive to contend for yet another NBA championship.

Can the sneaker king who worked his way from being a key reserve to a starter on a contender last year help Houston get over the hump this time around? Here are the three goals for Tucker in 2018-19.
