The Charlotte Hornets are looking to bounce back after a rough 2017-18 season. Here are three goals for their star player, Kemba Walker, in 2018-19.

The Charlotte Hornets had a bad 2017-18 season. There’s no other way to put it. They finished the season with a 36-46 record, despite playing in the not-so-stellar Eastern Conference.

For reference, the Hornets had a worse record than the Detroit Pistons and only won one more game than the Los Angeles Lakers (this is your friendly reminder that the Lakers didn’t have LeBron James last year).

The Hornets are now about to embark on their first season under new head coach James Borrego and the expectations are high for the professional franchise in a basketball hotbed. Borrego comes from a winning culture in San Antonio and that’s something the Hornets have desperately needed.

As they head into their most important season of this decade, they haven’t made the playoffs since 2015-16, haven’t won a playoff series since the 2001-02 season and Kemba Walker is on the last year of his contract. For multiple reasons, they’ll be relying on Walker to bring them success.

Here are three goals for Kemba in the 2018-19 NBA season.
