28. D.C. locker room chemistry
The Washington Wizards only snuck into the playoffs as the 8-seed, but that was with John Wall missing half the season. With Wall and Bradley Beal hopefully healthy, the Wizards will be relying on Otto Porter Jr. taking the next step and Dwight Howard actually helping a team for once if they want to live up to their high opinions of themselves.
This is a fascinating dilemma, not just because Wall, Beal and the Wizards have routinely failed to back up to their trash talk (particularly against the Celtics and LeBron James), but also because a volatile locker room just added DWIGHT HOWARD to the equation. That’s like dumping gasoline on a grease fire.
A roster containing Wall, Beal, Howard, Markieff Morris and Kelly Oubre Jr. is now expected to get along and compete in a wide open East? This is either going to an explosive collection of talent that complements each other perfectly, or a glorious implosion that’s so ghastly we won’t be able to look away.
