Before the 2018-19 NBA season gets underway, it’s time to take a look at the top 30 reasons to be excited for the upcoming campaign.

Next week, regular season NBA action will be back in our lives once more. After a long summer of drafting, free agency signings, trades, rumors, speculation, list-making and a downright hostage situation in Minneapolis, NBA basketball will finally return.

As fanbases learn at Media Day every year, every single team in the association has reason to be excited at this point in the NBA calendar. Nobody’s lost a game yet. Few have suffered a serious injury. No coach has been fired, no team has started tanking and only one general manager has been canned (thanks for that, Phoenix Suns).

After spending the summer ranking starters at each position, suggesting candidates for every major NBA award and breaking down the various tiers of the league hierarchy, the sport we all know and love will finally be taking centerstage where it belongs.

Sure, maybe this is the most predictable sports league in the world. And yes, the Golden State Warriors are probably going to cruise to their third straight title. But that doesn’t mean there’s no reason to tune in. From incoming rookies to new systems to contenders on the rise, there are dozens of reasons for excitement this season, even if the end result will probably be the same.
