With the 2018-19 season ready to tip off, it’s time to see where the contenders, playoff teams and bottom-feeders land in NBA Power Rankings for Week 1.

Regular season NBA basketball is back, and with the 2018-19 campaign tipping off Tuesday night, it’s time for the first edition of NBA Power Rankings!

It’s been a busy summer, filled with anticipated draft additions, superstar trade demands and high profile free agency moves. Thanks to Jimmy Butler, we’re not even out of the woods on prominent player movement just yet.

However, with the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers renewing an Eastern Conference rivalry and the Golden State Warriors donning new rings in front of the Oklahoma City Thunder, it’s time to take all the events and player movement from over the summer and apply them to our first batch of NBA Power Rankings as we try to figure out the lay of the land.

Chances are, these rankings will look very different in a few month’s time, and most certainly by the end of the regular season. However, based on what we know about all 30 teams at the moment, here’s a look at where all the projected contenders, playoff squads, lottery teams and outright tankers belong entering the start of a brand new season.
