2. Bradley Beal and John Wall will both earn All-Star nods

The Eastern Conference is a bit crowded with superstars with the addition of Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors, but that shouldn’t discourage John Wall and Bradley Beal. Wall and Beal should have no trouble earning All-Star nods once again in 2018-19, as they remain one of the best backcourts in the East.

Last season was Beal’s first All-Star appearance while it was Wall’s fifth All-Star appearance. Wall didn’t play, as he was sitting out due to a knee injury. He’ll still have an opportunity to be named to his sixth consecutive All-Star game this upcoming season, putting him in good company.

It’s no doubt Wall will go down as one of the best players in franchise history. He’ll need to turn the corner this season by leading his team on a deep postseason run. Expect him to show off his abilities in the All-Star game, and then his play should really blossom as postseason play approaches.

Beal is the other half of the Wizards talented backcourt. He made a career-high 2.9 3-pointers in 2016-17. With Wall out for much of last season, he took on a bigger role as an offensive playmaker and his efforts paid off with his first All-Star nod. As he’s on pace to become the franchise leader in 3-pointers made (862), look for his game to go to another level as he approaches his seventh season in the league.
