LaMarcus Aldridge

If the Pacers could add LaMarcus Aldridge to their ranks, they’d automatically enter the conversation of being the best team in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers would have the versatility of being able to beat teams from the perimeter with Oladipo, or in the post with Aldridge.

Similarly to Pelicans, the Spurs may be looking to blow things up if they don’t perform well this season. With roughly $72 million over the next three years being owed to Aldridge, the Spurs may want to get rid of his salary in order to start a mini-rebuild. Moreover, Aldridge is now 33 years old — how long until his ability drops off?

Despite his age, Aldridge had a resurgence last season. The former University of Texas star put up numbers similar to his Portland Trail Blazers days, averaging 23.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Aldridge finally looked comfortable in a Spurs uniform, but could he be changing uniforms again?

Potential trade:

Ultimately, if the Pacers want to be in the top tier of the Eastern Conference, they need to add a top talent.
