3. Get accustomed to playing alongside James Harden and Chris Paul

Despite being unable to find a home in Phoenix, Chriss will have the opportunity to create the ideal one in Houston, as the pick-and-roll threat will now have the luxury of playing alongside of James Harden and Chris Paul.

Two of the game’s finest guards — and playmakers — will help to make life much easier on the young big man than ever before, setting Chriss up with perfectly timed lobs and dimes that will more than likely lead to highlights such as these:

This will help him revitalize his career in the process. Chriss was forced to operate in a crammed paint due to the Suns’ lack of perimeter shooters, but could put together the best season of his career with the assistance of the Rockets’ dynamic backcourt duo.

Although most basketball pundits might argue that Chriss’ struggles were the byproduct of his own doing, one could dispute that he was not in the right system to help him magnify his bevy of skills, as the majority of his offensive success typically came when he was set up by fellow guards.

During his final season in Phoenix, Chriss took an astounding 74.3 percent of his shots without a dribble, and proved to be his most effective when on the floor with Devin Booker.

Should Chriss develop a solid chemistry with Harden and Paul, there is a strong possibility that he could become a more efficient player within the Rockets’ offense. His ability to play above the rim — and run the floor — will likely help him earn consistent minutes as a backup center behind Clint Capela and prove why general manager Daryl Morey took a gamble on him after all.
