3 reasons Cleveland Cavaliers won’t make the 2019 NBA Playoffs

1. Too many question marks up and down the roster

As far as talent goes, Cleveland isn’t barren in that department, and yet so many mysteries still remain with this roster.

Collin Sexton may have been a top selection, but as an incoming freshman, he still has to prove he belongs in this league.

Watching Love be the focal point will be fun after years in the shadows, but as mentioned before, the wear and tear he’s accumulated may be too much to overcome in order to lead the Cavs to wins.

Then there are guys like J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver, whose looks came almost exclusively off LeBron’s penetration and dishing. Can the spot-up shooters become something more? At age 33 and 37 respectively, it isn’t likely.

These Cavaliers aren’t the same ones that set a record for futility the last time James bolted, but they still have plenty of questions that need answers. Could the playoffs be in Cleveland’s future? Possibly, but it’ll take some more work and a few extra tweaks, and not in time to make a difference this season.
