1. The franchise record for 3-pointers attempted gets broken
As it sits currently, the Kings’ franchise record for most 3-pointers attempted in a single game is 37, set in 2000 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
In the past few years, the team has come extremely close to breaking that record. They tied the record in 2015-16, then missed it by one attempt the following year, and then missed the next season by four attempts.
But, with the current state of the NBA, and the Kings revamping their offense, I feel confident that this is the year the record gets an update. More shooters equals more shooting.
And i’ll even go a step further and say they surpass that 37 mark more than once this season. But why stop there. Bonus prediction; the 37th three-point attempt will be taken AND made by Yogi Ferrell.
You heard it here first.
