Landry Shamet is currently a reserve option in the Philadelphia 76ers backcourt, but he could become something invaluable by the end of the 2018-19 season.

The Philadelphia 76ers hold one of the most talented backcourts in the NBA, with Landry Shamet arguably being their most intriguing addition yet.

But it all began with patience.

With the exception of T.J. McConnell and Jerryd Bayless, the 76ers’ guard rotation features investments they have made in the NBA Draft.

The organization’s first sign of transcendence was when it won the 2016 NBA Draft Lottery, and later selected Ben Simmons.

Following a redshirt year for Simmons in the 2016-17 campaign, the Sixers fortified the point guard spot by trading up to select Markelle Fultz first in one of the league’s best drafts in recent memory.

Considering the exceptional talent currently present in the NBA, franchises are seeing less affordability to be tranquil and leisurely improving any area of their roster. Philly, refusing to take a slapdash approach, used its 26th overall draft pick this summer on Shamet.

Shamet gives the team plenty to look forward to throughout his developmental journey.

Here are three goals for him in his rookie season.
