Before the NBA regular season tips off, these are three bold predictions for the Los Angeles Lakers heading into the 2018-19 season.

Outlandish statements and bold predictions are frequent in the build up to the NBA regular season. Offseason workout videos are impossible to ignore on any social media platform. We read stories about how every player (sans John Wall) is in the best shape of their lives. It’s tough to navigate through the noise to find what is real or just a hype video until the games actually begin.

These videos and stories lead to the previously mentioned bold predictions, some sound crazy while others are more attainable, and now is my turn to do this for the Los Angeles Lakers. No NBA team has a difference of opinion in where a team will land in the standings than the Lakers and how this team will mesh together.

Some people say the LeBron James and the veterans won’t seamlessly mesh with the young core they possess. Others consider this team as the second or third best team in the Western Conference. This type of fluctuation usually doesn’t happen in the NBA, where standings and finalist participants are easier to predict than other sports.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be the most watched team in the NBA this season and all predictions featuring this team will be magnified once the season concludes. Here are my three bold predictions for the Lakers.
