3. They won’t get the top seed

2018 saw Golden State without the number one overall seed in the Western Conference for the first time since this dynasty began three years ago.

It’s not that the Warriors didn’t want home court throughout the playoffs, it just wasn’t their main priority, opting instead to preserve the health and well being of the players.

As was shown during last years Western Conference Finals, the Dubs can win in even the most pressure-filled of road games, and they believe such as well. The team is perfectly comfortable with their abilities and trust that they can get it done no matter the circumstances.

The only goal for Golden State is to win the championship. Unlike in 2016, where they burnt themselves out some by chasing 73 wins, these Warriors won’t pursue something they don’t believe is necessary in order for them to come out on top.

Could they finish with the West’s best record based on talent alone? Possibly, but more than likely another team will give everything they have to that cause, while the Dubs will save up for what really matters.
