No. 3: Be punctual

This is not a joke.

It’s been a rocky start to Williams’ NBA career, and unfortunately for him, he has no-one else to blame but himself.

First it was a sleepy Williams who missed his introductory press conference post-draft. Not even attempting to make an excuse for the gaff, Via NESN, he admitted to the embarrassing mistake.

"“I actually went to my aunt’s house and went to sleep because I was so tired,” Williams said. “When I woke up, my sister was like, ‘You have a conference call.’”"

Draft night is the culmination of a lifetimes worth or hard work all coming together in one night. It’s certainly has to be a draining night of emotional ups and downs, so perhaps you could let that first error slide.

However, Williams then missed his flight to Boston and the subsequent opening practice for the C’s Summer League squad. NESN, again brought the Williams explanation.

"“I went home to get a couple things. Just a missed flight, a missed communication by me,” Williams told reporters Tuesday at the Auerbach Center in Boston, via The Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach. “It’s all on me. So, just looking to push forward and move past that.”"

Yikes.

This goal should be the easiest for Williams to attain, but he’s been full of surprises so far so we’ll see how this plays out.
