Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant tallied 18 points, 12 rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes. He shot 8-of-14 from the field and netted his only 3-point attempt. KD fouled out at the 5:07 mark of the third quarter, a strange occurrence for him.

Durant had his moments of brilliance this game. He displayed strong work on the boards, posting a double-double by halftime. He shot a commendable 8-of-12 in the span.

KD also posted his share of ugliness. He turned the ball over four times on the evening and was quiet in the third quarter, scoring zero points on 0-for-2 shooting in seven minutes. The early foul-out was bizarre, and can be chalked up to lazy preseason defense.

Overall, Durant posted a decent effort. His first half was exceptional. Ten rebounds by halftime is stellar for a small forward. From a grading standpoint, however, it’s hard to ignore the turnovers, fouls and third quarter disappearing act.

Grade: B+
