Storyline 2: How many All-Stars will the Celtics have?

While the Western Conference All-Star lineup could have as many as five players from the Golden State Warriors after the arrival of DeMarcus Cousins, the Celtics could remarkably come close to that mark.

Hayward, Horford and Irving are all multiple-time All-Stars already, while the emergence of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum puts them in outside contention to make the leap to this year’s showcase in Charlotte. You have to believe this will largely be determined by the Celtics’ record in late January, but if they are streaking away with the lead in the conference, then you can expect them to be holding many of the seats warm on the East’s roster.

As far as spectacles go, could you imagine witnessing an All-Star game that could be potentially an NBA Finals preview with only Warriors and Celtics on the floor?

While unlikely, its not something you could totally rule out, and it would be one hell of a sight.
