The Phoenix Suns are already off to an unpredictable start in 2018-19. Here’s a look at five predictions for the upcoming campaign.

For as bad as the Phoenix Suns have been for nearly a decade, no one can say they’re boring. Last year, head coach Earl Watson was fired and point guard Eric Bledsoe was publicly placed on the trade block just three games into the season. Three games into the preseason this year, general manager Ryan McDonough got the axe.

That in and of itself isn’t surprising considering McDonough’s draft misfires, failed attempts to build through the middle, losing record, poor player relations and ill-advised trades, but the timing was certainly unexpected and suboptimal.

With James Jones and Trevor Bukstein taking over in the interim and meddling owner Robert Sarver in no rush to find a much-needed replacement GM, the Suns have already kicked off the 2018-19 NBA season on a note of uncertainty.

The question is, what else can be expected of a Suns team that finished dead-last in win percentage, point differential, offensive rating and defensive rating last year but added two top-10 draft picks, a few veteran shooters and a new head coach over the summer?

With no established point guard, an interim GM at the helm and Igor Kokoskov trying to coach up a gaggle of youngsters, here are five Phoenix Suns predictions for the 2018-19 NBA season.
