The Detroit Pistons have assembled their newest roster for the upcoming 2018-19 season. While improved, they each have their flaws that can do them in.

The Detroit Pistons‘ season kicks off in just a couple weeks. While the final starting lineup isn’t quite set at a couple of spots, we know the players that should be involved. Players like Reggie Jackson, Luke Kennard, Reggie Bullock, Glenn Robinson III, Stanley Johnson, Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond will be the players that contend for starting spots. Each has his strengths, but no player is perfect, which is exactly why we are here.

The greatest players of all-time all had Achilles heels, and this team’s starters are no different. Each one of them has something that could be his downfall at the end of the day. Coach Dwane Casey’s responsibility will be to put his players in position to limit the exposure of these weaknesses while maximizing their strengths. He has proven effective at this in the past, as he took the Toronto Raptors‘ roster and made it into one of the top teams in the NBA.

Under Casey, this will be a big first season in the Motor City. This Pistons team has the ability to make some noise in the Eastern Conference if he can make all the pieces fit together. However, in order to make those pieces work, he’s going to have to help some players compensate for the things they don’t do well. If he doesn’t, these players’ biggest weakness could doom this team’s season.
