Storyline 1: Is Kevin Love ready to lead a team?

It has been five years since Kevin Love has been the main scoring option on a team. In his days with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he could fill up the stat sheet with ease. However, his performances rarely translated into wins.

For his prime in Minnesota, Love averaged 26.0 points and 13.3 rebounds a game. He was a force on the offensive end and a monster at rebounding the ball. With the Timberwolves, Love was selected twice to both the NBA All-Star Game and the All-NBA Second Team.

Unfortunately, K-Love never managed to take Minnesota to the playoffs. The 2013-14 season was their best. In that year, they won 40 games and fell a few games short of the postseason.

Now, Love is once again tasked with leading a team to the NBA Playoffs. This time, it should be easier. He has four years of Finals experience under his belt and has been playing alongside one of the greatest players of all-time. Furthermore, the weaker Eastern Conference should aid him in this journey.

The biggest difference between the past and now is his veteran experience. Entering his 11th NBA season. Kevin Love is more than ready to lead an NBA team on his own.
