The Denver Nuggets have been retooling for several years following their trade of Carmelo Anthony. This year, they finally rival those teams of old, and here’s what else will happen in 2018-19.

With the preseason underway, the Denver Nuggets have already taken the court as the team they will put forth in the 2018-19 NBA season.

With their starters taking the floor for roughly 20 minutes apiece, the Nuggets showed flashes of the offense they possessed last year, run by big man Nikola Jokic, with a renewed bench.

Defense stands as the Nuggets’ kryptonite, much the way it has in several previous years.

This year, Denver stands as one of the Western Conference’s elite contenders, just under the echelon of the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets.

As an under-the-radar team for much of last year and the preseason of this year, the Nuggets have entered their way into the limelight following the growth of Jokic into a household name. This team, with a full year of All-Star forward Paul Millsap, will finally possess the star power it’s been lacking.

Ahead are five predictions, positive and negative, for the Denver Nuggets in 2018-19.
