With the Orlando Magic’s youth movement in full swing, here is a look at the four most intriguing players on their roster for 2018-19.
With another offseason is the books, the Orlando Magic spent their summer filling out their young core. They did this through the drafting of center Mohamed Bamba, and the re-signing of Aaron Gordon to a four-year, $80 million contract extension.
While most of the talk around the Magic this coming season will be about the growth of Bamba and second-year player Jonathan Isaac, and whether or not Gordon can take the next step, there is more to their roster than these main guys.
Whether Orlando ends up becoming a fringe playoff team, or has another season filled with disappointment, other players in the pinstriped blue will contribute as well. Just how much they are able to accomplish will go a long way to determining the kind of season they’ll have.
That makes their supporting cast an intriguing bunch. There are other young players and capable veterans, with the looming feeling hanging over them all that a trade could be made at any time.
It is also a given that, no matter how good their core three players are in year one together, the Magic will only go as far as the supporting cast takes them.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the four most intriguing players on the roster heading into 2018-19. They may not be the best or most important players, but it will be interesting to see how they can help the team based on where they’re at in their respective careers.
