The Miami Heat have some young, promising players that could significantly improve from last season, which would be a big step not just for them, but the team.

The Miami Heat enter the 2018-19 season with the exact same roster as last season. That is not an exaggeration; every key rotation player from last year is back with the team.

At this point, we know what we’re going to get with the Heat: a well-coached team that plays defense, scores fairly efficiently (but not in high volume), and has good depth. Barring any trade, we should see a near carbon-copy of the 2017-18 Heat.

While this means that the Heat will have a great shot at making the playoffs, it also means they are not primed to make a run at the title. With all the clunky contracts and lack of draft picks Miami has, making a trade is not a simple task.

However, there are some young players that have not tapped into their full potential. They are the best chance this current core of players has of improving on last year. If these players take their game up a level, they will not only establish themselves as the faces of the future, but can also benefit the team now.

These are the three most likely candidates to break out in the 2018-19 season.
