As the window of contention nears expiration for the Toronto Raptors, three players will be expected to contend with unrelenting pressure in 2018-19.

The Toronto Raptors are hungry for more.

That’s why the front office made the moves they did this summer. This is not a team ready to settle for complacency or an upper tier position in the Eastern Conference without ever breaking through to the NBA Finals.

Arguably no person is under more pressure than head coach Nick Nurse. The Raptors dismissed reigning Coach of the Year Dwane Casey and handed the reins to a man who has never been an NBA head coach before. Every mistake will come with questions as to whether or not the right man is in charge of a tinderbox.

Beyond that, nearly everyone on the roster faces pressure to push the Raptors past their chief Eastern Conference rivals and into a position to at least play for the first title in franchise history.

Here are three players under immense pressure entering the 2018-19 NBA season.
