4. Josh Okogie will make an NBA All-Rookie Team

Even with the Luol Deng signing, he is 33 years old and has a ton of basketball mileage on his body. He will only be able to play so many minutes this year. That leaves Minnesota’s 2018 first round pick Josh Okogie as one of the main beneficiaries of Butler’s impending departure.

Okogie has the makings of a good 3-and-D wing and has even drawn some comparisons to Jimmy Butler. During his 2017-18 season at Georgia Tech, Okogie shot 38 percent from 3 and 82.1 percent from the free throw line. He also managed to pull down 6.3 rebounds per game and was one of the best perimeter defenders in the ACC.

In his first taste of NBA action against the Golden State Warriors on Sept. 29, Okogie showed he belonged. He posted 10 points on just five shots to go along with five rebounds in just 20 minutes of action. He also did this:

Okogie is now likely to be the first wing off the bench for the Timberwolves, meaning he’ll have more than enough minutes to make an impression and earn one of the 10 spots on the NBA All-Rookie Teams.
