5. Stay healthy

During an 82-game season, it is imperative for any team to stay healthy. One injury can change the course of a season drastically. The Thunder are already going into the new year with a couple players on the mend, so going down the stretch it will be important for them to stay healthy.

The New Orleans Pelicans looked to be one of the top teams in the West and then DeMarcus Cousins went down. They were still able to sweep their first playoff series, but who knows what could’ve happened if Cousins was still playing during the playoffs?

The Thunder cannot lose key players to injury. If Westbrook and George are upright and the main players stay healthy, that will always give them a better chance of making some real noise in the West..

When Roberson comes back they will be at their full strength. It will be interesting to see how much of a difference he makes defensively.
