The Oklahoma City Thunder had a big-time offseason where they were able to retain Paul George and bolster their bench. Here are five big goals for the Thunder in 2018-19.

The Oklahoma City Thunder went into the 2018 NBA offseason knowing what they had to do. They had to retain Paul George and improve their bench. They were able to do both.

The team concluded Carmelo Anthony was expendable because of a less than spectacular season, in addition to luxury tax problems. They decided to trade Anthony and got Dennis Schroder in return.

This move, in addition to the roster overall, looks good on paper, but then again, we thought the Thunder were going to be special last season after they traded for Anthony and George.

This season, they are without Russell Westbrook and Andre Roberson for the beginning of the season. Roberson may be gone until December, but at least Westbrook doesn’t look like he’ll miss any significant time.

It will be a big year for OKC after being booted out of the playoffs in the first round last year. Here are five big goals for the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2018-19.
