Predictions

The Los Angeles Clippers have a lot of good players on their team, and a ton of depth, which is more than a lot of other Western Conference teams can say. Whether or not they swing a trade, they should be well-suited to withstand injuries and keep on chugging.

Of course, it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to surpass the uppermost tier of teams in the West, such as the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder. However, none of the teams below those four are really locks for the playoffs.

The Clippers have the talent and the coaching to make separate themselves from a lot of the other teams in that same range. It wouldn’t be a total surprise to see them miss the playoffs, but they should be able to make it.

Our final prediction is a 48-34 record, good for seventh place in the West before a six-game defeat in the first round of the playoffs.
