The Boston Celtics’ new season is almost upon us. Here are five reasons fans should be excited about the 2018-19 season.

Media Day has come and gone, training camp has wrapped up and the Boston Celtics have already played their first official preseason game. The start of the 2018-19 NBA season is practically here.

The Celtics are certainly excited to get the season rolling. Confidence is good for a young and talented team like this, and as of right now, it appears Boston is the team to beat in the Eastern Conference.

It looks as if the starting lineup will be Kyrie IrvingJaylen BrownGordon HaywardJayson TatumAl Horford. It’s a scary starting five, even if four are either coming off an injury or under 22 years old. This will be the first time fans will see this new lineup because they were only able to log five minutes together last year.

Getting Irving and Hayward back from injury is going to be great for the Celtics. Fans were excited that Boston was able to sign Hayward in free agency last offseason, until his horrifying injury crushed hopes.

They Celtics added rookie Robert Williams and made a few other small free agency moves, but the roster looks fairly similar to what was seen last year. There are a lot of decisions to be made ahead of the 2019 offseason.

The regular season is rapidly approaching and with that in mind, here are five reasons people should be excited for the Boston Celtics’ upcoming campaign.
