1. Lloyd Pierce

The Atlanta Hawks have a brand new head coach after they let Mike Budenholzer go. Lloyd Pierce was the man they chose for the job. He was a member of the Sixers’ coaching staff throughout what is now known as “The Process.” That is a good sign because the Hawks are going through something similar to what the 76ers did.

Pierce was previously on the coaching staffs of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Memphis Grizzlies. He preaches defense first, which is exactly what builds a team up from scratch. If he truly is a defensive mastermind, we should be excited for the way he navigates Trae Young’s deficiencies.

Pierce knows what it takes to come out on top throughout a rebuild, and the Hawks are certainly going through a tough one. He was highly recommended by Brett Brown, which should be an honor for anyone.
