1. JaMychal Green

With Jaren Jackson Jr. being primed to be next in-line for the Grizzlies it is now or never for the former Alabama power forward JaMychal Green.

Since coming into the league in 2012 as an undrafted player, Green has steadily improved each season.

The 2015 NBA D-League All-Star is capable of pushing his game to another level. Green averaged 10.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks last season. The presence of Jackson should light a fire under Green because it is either him being replaced now or eventually, Marc Gasol.

The question remains is he a stepping stone for Jackson or can he remain a solid starter in the NBA?

He will certainly have his chance as Jackson will not be a day one starter out the gate. Green accounts for 2.6 win shares last season which places him fourth on the team.

This year is a contract year for Green so if he doesn’t show any promise the Grizzlies will gladly let him walk. Green must prove he has what it takes to stay in this league and remain a member of the Memphis Grizzlies.
