On the eve of what promises to be a fascinating season, here are five reasons to be excited about the Philadelphia 76ers in 2018-19.

With the annual Media Day now behind them, the Philadelphia 76ers are now fixated on the start of the 2018-19 NBA season.

Following a whirlwind season in which they jumped from 28 to 52 wins, the Sixers are suddenly one of the glamour teams in the league. Granted, they were ultimately unsuccessful in their offseason pursuit of the likes of LeBron James and Paul George during the July free agency period.

However, the nucleus that enabled them to make a trip to the second round of the postseason, and thus catapulted the expectations of the team entering this season, remains the same.

Therefore, it was of little surprise when head coach Brett Brown stated the following at their recent Media Day:

With first-time All-Star Joel Embiid and reigning Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons leading the way, the Sixers not only have incredibly high expectations, but will also one of the more fun and exciting teams to follow in the season ahead.

With this mind, here are five reasons to be excited for the Sixers in the upcoming 2018-19 season.
